Joe Buck worked for Fox Sports from its 1994 inception through 2022, including roles as lead play-by-play announcer for the network’s National Football League and Major League Baseball coverage. He served as the play-by-play announcer for the World Series from 1996 to 2021, with the exceptions of 1997 and 1999, In 2022, Buck moved to ESPN, where he serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football. Proud moment to get another local famous face supporting Triangle Park. Kirk and I lived at Olentangy Commons in Columbus around 1993 or so- we used to talk at the pool - which was known as the hot spot for sure. We talked sports, go figure. Always a solid guy. He had just started his radio show which he was being paid a whopping 12k dollars a year. A far cry from ESPN and NFL on Amazon! Really happy for him and his success- and for Kirk to make time for us in his off season to help tell this unknown story of the first-ever NFL game.
